Hey folks, just few weeks back, we brought you a poll about selecting your favourite shows on your channel, well that was a public opinion poll and it's something we have to do on a monthly basis but we are gonna do today hasn't been done by any one yet. ;) We are conducting a poll about the worst fiction show on TV, Haha ! we are giving you a full chance to take out the plunge against the nonsensical traumatic experience you have to go through your TV sets. The long boring never ending dramas, the melodrama, the leaps, the divorce and above all the mental torture. And we pick out the best nominations for you all. If you have a show to nominate, don't hesitate at all. Push yourself on the comments section with good reasons and we have include that show in our next poll.

So the nominees for the worst fiction show on TV are -

Sasural Simar Ka - Colors [One Creepy Sasural for sure - Something which a bahu can only dream of not having it ]
This show is also remarked to be the creepiest to show a little teenager romancing a guy almost double his age ahem...and her husband, the makers couldn't choose a better girl, oh well whatever it takes.

Ballika Vadhu - Colors
A show that was based on a sensitive issue on child marriage was conducted gracefully when It began but for the sake of ratings, the makers have squeezed everything out from it and now where it is heading no one knows. Spare us the horror please.

Saath Nibhana Saathiya - Star Plus [The title carries so much Sarcasm in it we don't feel anything writing about it]

A Special Mention should be given to Supervillian Ganga, she has been kicking some serious ass since many years on this show [pun intended]

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai - Star Plus
[Kindly let the makers of this show answer this....a 'rishta' that is so horrendous that it gives a chill run down our spine, answer the people who had been sick of watching this and still going through it.]

KumKum Bhagya - Zee TV [We could never understand what was this show actually about :/ Please do help us for what purpose it's on TV]

Meri Aashqui Tumse Hi - Colors [A poor lad loves a rich girl, she takes him just as friend, a bad guy enters, messes with their lives...poor guy becomes rich, so rich and tries to woo the girl, the girl is still attracted with the bad guy and he keeps messing with their lives around - CUT bad guy takes a break then a psycho girl enters to mess with their lives. - Rich guy and the girl hate each other because of the circumstances and later fall in love - bad guy again enters..messes with their lives and again takes a break...oh wait the psycho woman still exists right ! .....oh man ! what an epic waste of time seriously. popping a chewing gum is far better.

Yeh hai Mohabbatein - Star Plus [A kind of show where the news of the death of characters is heard more than their lives LMAO]

Qubool Hai - A woman possesses a superpower to die first and comes along a new life but her motive of justice is never fulfilled. What a load of crapfest we must say

So folks nominations are ready. It's upto you to pick up your best choice ! :) go for it

Why did Sony Pal scrap re-runs of 'Left Right Left'

The television world is acting pretty strangely these days, Now a days we hear news of TV shows being axed more than their launching. Competition is making every channel restless and if this is not enough, there are various strategies taken by channels that puts the viewers into delusional mode. Such a channel is Sony Pal. Sony Pal recently launched re-runs of their popular Soap 'Left Right Left' which used to air around 7 years ago on their sister network SAB channel. The re-run was well received and giving quite an amazing chunk of ratings to the channel but suddenly the channel has now stopped its re-runs all of a sudden. We wonder what could have happened?

Left Right Left was about six disoriented cadets coming from various walks of life to find their way in the heart of the Indian Army and seeking a change within themselves. Although the central character of the show was Naina Singh Ahluwalia (Priyanka Bassi) A rebillious vengeance filled sister who joins Kanchanjanga Military Academy to find out about the evil doers that put her brother to 'Traitor' Zone. The only support from the Academy that she gets officially is Captain Rajveer Shekhawat (Rajeev Khandelwal) who happens to be the Best friend of her Brother Navin (Samir Sharma).

The show offered an ensembled cast of youngsters like Kunal Kapoor, Vikas Manaktala, Gazal Rai, Harshad Chopra and Arjun Bijlani. With Rajeev's histronics and brilliant acting by the Youngsters made the show a runaway hit. But it lost its charm later like all other daily dramas. We can't blame much. Anyways the show deserve an applause to try something different and refreshing on TV. And viewers were really happy when their once favourite show finally made a comeback.

But the channel seems to have dashed the hopes of loyal fans. At this point, it's hard to assume if the channel would bring back the re-runs of the show or not. We can only hope that it atleast makes a complete run and end the disappointment. Hope the creatives of Sony Pal are listening.

5 Reasons why we miss Star One

Dreaming of a Quality Television programming seems like a joke these days. While every TV show on Indian Idiot Box seems like a torture, and an avid TV viewer finds it hard to make his ends meet. There have been some brave TV Channels who began their programming with bravura. It's another thing that later they succumbed to the world of ratings and in order to escape their channel being totally shut down. Such a Channel was Star One. Star One for most of the people would be mostly known for shows like Miley Jab Hum Tum, Geet Hui Sabse Parayi, Dil Mill Gaye, Rang Badalti Odhni and a few more known soaps that mapped it into the popular zone. But here we are 'NOT' talking about those shows. We are talking about the amazing beginning programming of Star One that revolutionized the content on Indian Television in 2004-2005. True, the programming wasn't much successful on the ratings front but what It managed to do is to make those viewers smile who were looking for great content. The specialization of the programming of Star One was extensively targeted towards the 'men' following rather than women or families. Hence it offered a great variety of shows that set its league apart. Let's go down the lane 10 years back remember the channel and give out 5 reasons Why Star One has been the best in all these years while providing the content it offered.

Amazing Comedy Features : Who can forget Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai - The most successful show of Star One at that time. The show offered a great comedy in a natural flavour. Featuring an ensemble cast of talented actors like Ratna Pathak, Satish Shah, Rupali Ganguly. The show was an Instant hit amongst the masses. Ten years after its exit, It's still as popular, Heck the popularity can only be assumed that it was released straight on DVD wow ! It's a shame that despite it's success, the makers never thought of bringing it back. While Sarabhai entertained, Instant Khichdi tickled our bones featuring the same cast from the original Khichdi. Although, this series wasn't as successful as the original but was appreciated nevertheless. If that's not enough we had the Laughter Challenge that set new standards of stand up comedy, Now every show based on laughter seems like a joke itself. The Great Indian Comedy Show too deserves a round of applause for spoofing bollywood, cricketers, politicians heck ! We miss it so much don't we !

Taut Thrillers : If Comedy was the strongest asset of Star One then, the thrillers launched by the channel weren't any less either. The show launched a variety of thrillers that were simply the best on Indian Television. Let's Start with the most popular Special Squad. The show was about ACP Aryan (Bhanu Uday)who loses his family during a case, the guilt takes him over and he wants to root every crime that he comes along. Joining his forces were Shaina (Kuljeet Randhawa) A Single mother who is leading a tough life inside and out as a cop, Boxer (Iqbal Azad) Ajay Desai (Pankit) and other honest cops. The show dealt with different kinds of crimes with each episode portraying a new story alongside the personal stories of Squad Characters. We give this a thumbs up ! A brilliant crime series that makes a difference. Star One definitely came out as a winner with this one.

Next was Siddhanth - A corrupt lawyer who takes up cases to satisfy his personal greed but along the way he finds his way to salvation and his heart seeks a change. Another fantastic show that made its way was Family Business. It was about a show based on criminal families and the politics regarding it. Also there was Guns and Roses, Another exceptional thriller that featured real life couple then - Amit Sadh and Neeru Bajwa. The story was about a woman seeking revenge from the evil doers responsible for her husband's death. Later she falls in love with a stranger and in the end, she finds out that the stranger was unknowingly involved in the murder of her husband. All these shows deserves to come out on DVD.

Light Hearted Shows - If the thrillers were a little heavy to handle for some, there were also some light hearted shows that set the momentum strong. The first one that comes to mind is Hotel Kingston. An Amazing show regarding a hotel and its facilities, the characters were real and packed a punch. Also a love story runs along side by side with the characters of Actors Amit and Sonal. Another show was 'Yehi to Hai Woh' starring Gaurav Channa which was about two identical figures and how they face day to day situations was the premise of the story.

Youth Programming : The channel also carried a spunk - Who can forget 'Remix' a  remake of the popular Argentine soap Rebelde Way, It was an Instant hit among the Youth. The Characters Tia, Aashi, Yuvi, Ranveer became a rage, the show also involved a lot of music that gave it another reason to shine. The show literary gave a name to actor Karan Wahi. Another show that followed it was 'Dil Kya Chahta hai' a story of four male friends and their lives. It was mostly on the lines of Dil Chahta Hai film.

Lifestyle : The Channel also featured a lot of shows based on lifestyle, travel, food all that made it a really classy channel unlike most of the Dump we see nowadays. It's difficult to remember them all However the ones that comes instantly on our minds are - Cook Na Kaho and Men Maange More. Like we said earlier, the show targetted more towards the 'men' following and since Men are only attracted to mostly cricket or movies on TV, this programming although superfine in quality couldn't survive for long.

In this age of boring and dump TV shows, we need a revolution, we need to broaden ourselves. We need to welcome new concepts only then we can expect good shows on Television, But since the good ones do not stand for long, how can we possibly expect another Star One. As they say, it's hope that keeps you alive.

SHOCKING : Badtameez Dil to go Off Air !

In a world of ratings and numbers, Quality and Good things do not run for long especially in the world of entertainment. Times are becoming tough not just in the film Industry but also on Television. With each and every show on TV given a limited time to perform or else being taken off, this decision can itself tell you what kind of programming people are dealing with today. Yes, it's shocking that Star Plus popular soap 'Badtameez Dil' is set to go off air. The show was just launched few months back and although It managed to gain popularity online, It could not bring in the ratings to sail its boat safely.

The show which had a certain 'Youth Oriented' feel somehow couldn't manage to rake in the moolah. Interestingly, none of the shows on Star plus carrying Youth Oriented feel can't hold the audiences for long. Recently, the popular Manmarziyaan also went off air. Before this - Airlines and Everest, although fine in quality couldn't be accepted by audiences. What's Wrong we really wonder ! The show is all set to go off air on 19th September reportedly. What are your thoughts on this. Should Badtameez Dil deserves a chance to stay longer? Post your comments below

Dear Indian Reality TV Shows, STOP disgracing us !

'Reality' what does this word mean? According to the net dictionary it means - "the state of things as they actually exist, as opposed to an idealistic or notional idea of them." So what does the reality tv shows mean - to highlight the actual events that happen in a real time function or do actually exist. But how's that supposed to happen when each event in an Indian reality TV show looks damn scripted and fake. As a viewer, I have finally opened up to write about the traumatization a sane TV viewer goes through these 'over the top' whimsical so called reality shows that can put even the most boldest minded person to shame. The ingredients these days reality tv programmers use to cook their show for telly viewing, it makes me wonder is there hardly any level of desperation left to be crossed.

The Regular TV viewers who enjoy these kind of shows would mostly disagree with me, well I don't care because I care an opinion and I have reasons for them too. What I want to know if a reality show couldn't be entertaining without the silly dramas, fake emotions or over the top screams that plague our minds for an hour or two. Why are these factors forced into such programming? Random singers appear on Indian Idol junior and start praising participants as they have been following each and every episode, but the fact is, they are scripted into the timeline of the show, The trp's of Indian Idol Junior are a proof that the show not being taken too seriously with or without Sonakshi Sinha. It doesn't matter. If that's not enough, We have the laughable Jhalak Dikhala Ja which offers such a horrendous jhalak that you might want to skip the event.

Let's take a look at these factors which make these so so called reality shows completely unwatchable.

Scripted Events : A Reality show should be live and the events should follow it so that the effect could bring out a charm but in these shows, most of the events are pre-planned. Suppose in Jhalak Dikhlaja, right after a performance, the judges ask participants to do some random thing. ie. Shamita Shetty was once asked to do something blindfolded, now even a Child can guess what's really going on. Please ! If they think it's entertaining, Nope ! It only eats up the time, they performed, give them marks LET THEM GO ! But buffoonery is a part of showbiz and you need to showcase that.

Over the Top Anchors : Wonder Why every reality show has a complete Idiotic Tape recorder like anchor which doesn't have a 'stop' button. Of course ! Everyone can't be Kapil Sharma who entertains despite going over the top. The hosting on Jhalak Dikhalaja Ja can only be termed as amateurish. No ! I don't have to pinpoint against an anchor, It's the script they go through which brings the show down. Wonder how much we are getting used to this D Grade Entertainment. In a recent episode, The anchor calls the Judges of JDJ to perform singing in the most horrible manner - mind you most horrible way ever. and Guess What ! they delivers. Really sad to see a classy filmmaker like Karan Johar had to go through all this. There are better ways to have fun, wonder the makers of JDJ have given that a thought ? I don't think so.

Fake Emotions : The participants in these reality shows just need one reason to shed out buckets of tears. Play a tragic background tune and they will lend out couple of tears in seconds. They can give hard competition to anyone who vouches to compete for a crying competition. Seriously ! It looks fake. Not long ago, many actors have even confessed that they are bound to do such things. Well it goes on and it's the viewer who has to bear all this. It's 2015 folks ! bring something new to table please.

What Next ? - Once you win a reality show, what really happens I wonder. Every year, these shows launch new shows for kids to display their amazing talent - Mind you ! Nope ! They 'do not' spend crores of rupees just to display the talents of Children. They sell their voices to your homes so that you can bring them ratings. And once its over. It's Tata Bye ! Who remembers the first winner of Indian Idol Junior. Forget Juniors, where are the Adults? The Adult version went into a dump and never returned. Participating and winning these reality shows are much lesser comparable to performing in cultural events which carry more value, Wonder why people put Glamour first against culture, this seems to be the new trend but how successful It has been I really wonder.

Janta Janadhan : If such shows are working and still formatted in such a way, who can we possibly blame, the makers ? But why would they, as they are making good money from the ratings. People are watching it, enjoying it and it serves their purpose.  I have grown up watching SareGaMa - an old really classical show which Sonu Nigam used to host years ago. I was about 7 years then, still I remember that show and the classic 'Boogie Woogie'. I remember the freshness then, I appreciate the format and what should I call 'The quality' the makers brought to it. I am breeding in the age of gadgets and smartphones, while today generation might not be able to relate with those kind of shows, but what's really connectable in today's shows ? Where is the Quality ? Where is that passion ?

These are just the questions which people need to ask themselves, the way this 'chalta hai' entertainment is dragging its feet all along, It's because of our laziness that we are not giving any signs of progress towards the art of Television. I am not talking about just reality shows. Fiction shows have set a bigger example in this case. Good Concept shows do not run for 3 months and Saas bahu sagas are still ruling. The answer lies in our brains that we need to answer. We have grown up far from the 'Doordarshan' age. When are we supposed to grow up from here ?

Frieda Pinto Charged up after receiving compliment from Hrithik

Freida Pinto: Hrithik's compliment for my film heartwarming

Freida Pinto's days are never normal or routine. Besides her yoga workouts and some meals, nothing else runs to a pattern. "I sleep strange, I work odd hours and am constantly planning and putting together new ideas. I love the craziness, but I also crave abnormal days, when all I'm doing is lying in bed or soaking in a hot tub and eating sushi," she admits.

However, there's no time to chill now with her dream project, Girl Rising, taking off. The idea is to use moving stories to sensitise people not just to realities but also a need to be a part of the change. "I see this project as a beginning -of awakening, of change, of a movement that will be so inspirational that we will end up having many takers, supporters and volunteers by the time we're ready for phase two," she asserts. Freida admits that they're in talks with key change drivers and policy makers to ensure their ground work bears fruit on a larger scale.

The Prime Minister has aligned the vision with his national campaign, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao. Frieda who met Narendra Modi during her last visit to India, says he suggested they launch on August 29, as Raksha Bandhan is a meaningful day. "Like us, he believes in the power of good storytelling," she says.

That trip to the Capital also sparked off talks of a music video and an international single with singer-composer Vishal Dadlani next year. Freida laughs, "You've got a few things right and a few things wrong....Vishal, music, next year, are all correct...The rest I cannot reveal yet."

The actress, who shot to fame with the Oscar winning Slumdog Millionaire, is equally evasive about her personal life. She grabbed headlines when pictures of her pole dancing outside a pub on her birthday, Siddharth Mallya looking on, leaked online. Bring it up and she says, "There is nothing to comment on really." She also refuses to talk about her break-up with Dev Patel, insisting that she has never spoken about her personal life. "So unfortunately this time is no different," she retorts.

Meanwhile, Trishna, was supposed to release early this year in India but didn't. Buzz is, she was unhappy with the Indian cut and the promotional campaign, which portrayed it as a semi-porn film."Let's just say that I'm happy the film is on Itunes and Netflix. I'm sure those who would like to watch it have a legal way of accessing it," she maintains.

In Bollywood, she loves the work Richa Chadha is doing."She's smart, intelligent and incredibly talented. A lethal combo,"Freida asserts.

She had once stated that she was unable to find roles in a hero-centric Hindi cinema. But today, she is happy to see films that are not just alternative but also that these women-centric stories are getting such phenomenal backing and setups. "I'm open to and excited about working in Indian films with a global appeal," she asserts.

Has she ever felt inferior or discriminated against, particularly in the film studios? "On the contrary I'm proud to have not only been given the opportunity to break barriers but also the credibility and a recognisable launch to execute it successfully," she says. "Gender bias exists without a doubt, but we also have enough and more women who are flagbearers of standing their own ground and creating a space for themselves, like Meryl Streep and Cate Blanchett."

Speaking about opportunities on the basis of skin tone, she points out that you can't be expected to be cast in a film with an all-Japanese cast. One has to be realistic, aware of one's appeal and ability. "But for every three stereotypical roles, there is at least one good, wholesome, satisfying one too," avers Freida, who enjoys the challenge of changing the game."It makes work interesting everyday, even if some days get frustrating. I've become adept at adopting a positive, fighter like approach."

Freida has some interesting films coming up, like Blunt Force Trauma and Knight Of Cups, also featuring Christian Bale and Natalie Portman. She says, "In the first I play Colt, the female lead. And this may sound weird, but I haven't seen the latter yet. I actually don't always like watching my films. Also, a Terrence Malick film is hard to describe with word limits, it's a detailed experience. Christian was a brilliant co-star, I learnt a lot from observing him."

There's also lot of curiosity about Jungle Book: Origins. "This is the part where I say ...Patience!" she laughs. "I'm excited for Jungle Book as should everyone else. This is going to be epic!" Her recent Twitter conversation with Hrithik Roshan made news for days until she replied to his tweet. Any chance of seeing them together on screen? "Hrithik's compliment for my film, Desert Dancer, and my performance was heartwarming. Receiving such kind words from an artiste and performer like him inspires me to do better," she says. "I don't know him well so I can't comment on our rapport. But as an artiste, there will always be shared respect and encouragement for each others' work."

She's heartened by the support from Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Parineeti Chopra, Nandita Das and Sushmita Sen and promises that they'll collaborate more. "I've always believed in collaboration as opposed to creating change singularly. Going solo is usually never successful, it is terrible leadership."
