On speaking about the challenges of making the film 'Diwali - The Festival of Lights' Mehta said - "It is just a simple film, narrated with a very simplistic fashion. I think the Idea was just to explore the beauty of the surroundings that look extremely beautiful on the night of Diwali and its significance. I wanted it to be a little different from other documentaries that rely so heavy on mythological aspect of the festival. For a mobile movie, the concept had to do the job and I am really glad it worked. I am grateful to the Jury of Mobile Movie Making magazine for choosing my entry over some really amazing film entries that came along from all over the world.

Not only this, Mehta's another film 'Environmental Festival - The Step towards Awareness' that deals with the concept of Indian campaign 'swachh bharat' has secured a spot in the upcoming International Children Film's Festival going to be held in Lucknow from April 5.
