Rajkumar Hirani’s PK starring Aamir Khan has made unbelievable money at the box office. In fact the widely appreciated movie made Rs 100 crores in China and it is all set for it’s release in Hong Kong now. But some religious zealots (read: idiots) continue to keep the movie in the news for all the wrong reasons thereby making the movie controversy’s favourite child.
In a fresh incident the district court in Indoor has sent a notice to five people -Aamir Khan, Rajkumar Hirani, the writer of the film Abhijaat Joshi, the then Chairman of the Censor Board Leela. Samson. The next hearing will be taking place on November 16, we gather. It has been claimed that the the film has made fun of Hindu Gods and Goddesses, thereby hurting the sentiments of the masses. Additional sessions judge B S Rawat issued notices to Aamir, director of the film Rajkumar Hirani, script writer Abhijat Joshi, Madhya Pradesh government and former chairman of CBFC Leela Samson while hearing the petition of Lalji Gaur. The next hearing is slated for November 16. Gaur’s petition seeking criminal action against Aamir and others had been dismissed by the judicial magistrate on September 23, which he has now challenged, said his lawyer Mukesh Deval.
Those who have watched the movie would clearly understand that PK has not shown any particular religion in the bad light. In fact, it has given a wise take on the wrong practices followed in every religion and how wrong lessons are imparted on society and how people are fooled into believing into the wrong notion of god. The movie also talks about how the so-called spiritual leaders and gurus twist the concept of spirituality to their benefits to spread hatred.
