5 reasons why 'Phantom' Trailer does not Impress us

Director Kabir Khan's directorial 'Phantom' is getting ready for release and the first official trailer was launched few days back with much fan-fare. The film has been in the news for sometime and there are some really high expectations attached to the film. Both Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif are making comebacks and the film plays crucial from their career's point of view. The trailer was released with much high expectations but somehow it has received mixed reactions. We personally found the trailer a little bland and we put up our top 5 reasons why doesn't the 'Phantom' Trailer Impress us.

1. Ek Tha Tiger - Agent Vinod Crossover - If you would look at the trailer. It tries really hard to be something refreshingly different but It doesn't. The trailer has the same feel you would have possibly felt for Ek Tha Tiger or Agent Vinod. Spy - Undercover - Terrorism. Seems like a Cocktail.

2. Saif Ali Khan : Action is not Saif's cup of tea and every time he tries it, he fails miserably. Agent Vinod was a classic example. Even in the trailer, he doesn't display that braveura that we could go out and play applause something that people like to do on Salman or Shahrukh's movies. Still It's our job to wish well for the actors and we do it for Saif too.

3. Katrina Kaif : Phulllzzzz, someone please tell us what's she doing...OK We get it our Indian heroines sucks at Action, There is no Milla Jovovich, Angelina Jolie or Scarlett Johannson who can swing bad guys into dump, they are good for belly and booty shakes so why to show Katrina in positions like this. It not only looks embarrassing but laughable, seriously an Item number would do more for her than the possibly silly action she is doing. We forgot to mention 'Ek Tha Tiger' perhaps this role is an extension to that. Ouch !

4. The Posters : The First Look : Not only they seem to be lifted from somewhere, They also look cheesy and Campy.

5. The last line in Trailer : The last line in the trailer that concludes 'A Story you wish would be true'. Well the trailer starts giving us a horrible glance of 26/11 attacks, A date, An incident we would ever wish likely to be true. So a fictionalized story about post the incidents trying just to cash in box office numbers may matter to the makers and people related with it. But seriously such stories do not have a base.

All in all, these are just opinions from our side, We would like to wish Phantom team all the best and wish it succeeds in its goal. What are your views on the trailer. you can let us know in the comments below.
